The White House announced that it will be raising the bar for response from 25,000 signatures to 100,000. The only things that have gotten 100,000 signatures have been in response to massive, news-garnering headlines and it eliminates the possibility for ideas to swell up from the grassroots, which seemed to be the initial intent.
100,000 is too high. If 25,000 is too low, perhaps a compromise at 50,000 or 60,000.
