Lower the price of prescription drugs!

Created by N.R. on April 27, 2014

If Congress permitted the federal government to negotiate drug prices as other countries do, taxpayers could save thousands and the pharma industry would still make a profitable increase to support continued research and development of new therapies. Here is a step in the right direction: sign a petition to have the prices of prescription drugs capped at the median international price average, and consider requiring pharmaceutical manufacturers to provide more evidence about the value of their new drugs in relation to the cost and negotiate the prices accordingly. Congress should permit our federal government to control the inflation of drug prices instead of allowing the pharmaceutical industry to capitalize from the ill and elderly.
