Lower sales tax from November 1st to December 24th, so that more money may be spent on Christmas gifts.

Created by C.T. on May 21, 2013

By lowering sales tax during the requested period, more lower to middle class families will be able to spend on gifts. In turn, more money will be spent on items thus offsetting the lower slaes tax. For example, a 50 dollar item at 9% sales tax generates $4.50. Simply cutting that tax to 4.5% would give the allusion that more could be spent and $100 dollars spent would generat the same income of $4.50. This would also encourage the purchase of more higher priced items, again offsetting the lower sales tax.
