Lower student loan rates, which cause a burden on students with high interest rates which cannot be lowered.

Created by T.E. on September 01, 2015

Federal Student Loan Reform. Many people do not understand the true costs or limitations of student loans. The interest rates are high and are compounded daily. This makes these loans predatory on students and those out of collage by burdening them with high debt at high interest rates that are mostly impossible for low or middle class people to pay off. The student loan rates cannot be refinanced, unless you take more loans out, another predatory practice. It is time to stop putting this burden on those just out of collage. I petition to 1) make interest rate refinance possible, 2) cap the interest rate at the bond rate, 3) set a maximum payoff amount of 120% of origination of loan amount (amount paid out).
