Lower the uplift rates civilian/contractors earn while working in overseas combat zones

Overseas contractors can earn enormous incomes at the expense of the taxpayers for working in such places like Afghanistan. Contractors earning annual salaries from $150,000 and up are commonplace in these types of environment. Yet these employees enjoy the best security in the world, receive free housing, free food, and free laundry service. Inside the “wire”, these employees can enjoy many of the same things here at home. They can dine in fast food outlets or enjoy the physical company of other employees after dark. I know, because I too worked overseas. There is no doubt the employees should be rewarded for supporting the troops. However, based on taxpayer expense, average difficulty of the task performed, the quality of life inside the “wire”; the uplift rates should be reduced.
