Lower the US Flag to half-mast one day for every servicemember killed in the War on Terror.

Per US Code, "By order of the President, the flag shall be flown at half-staff upon the death of principal figures of the United States Government."
The men and women of the US Armed Forces have been in a constant state of war against terror and threats to the United States since September 2001. Thousands have given their lives in this war in order to maintain the security of the citizens of the USA.
We the signatories to this petition urge the President to enact his authority and recognize these fallen servicemembers as principle figures of the US Government and fly the flag at half-mast. One day for every fallen Soldier, Sailor, Marine, and Airman lost in the line of duty defending this country in the War on Terror with their name to be read at Morning Colors to honor their memory.
