Lower the US standards of diesel emissions to that of the European Union.

In order for the US people to have more fuel efficient vehicles I am asking the US government to lower the standards for diesel emissions to that of the European Union. This will help the US automakers bring in the more fuel efficient vehicles (that have more performance) that they are already making for the rest of the world. People shouldn't be worried about the diesel engines from the past that spewed black clouds because the European diesel emission standards are still high enough for that not too happen.
