Lower the voting age to 16.

Created by L.D. on November 13, 2012

Many young people are becoming more and more politically involved. These young people care about what is going on their country and are not mindless teenagers as we would think. Young people are becoming worried about their future and they are our future. Yes, 18 is young, but I have heard many young people speak and they are concerned about what their future may bring. They need a political voice, too. Some say that their parents' voice is their voice, but not every child agrees with their parents and might want different things for our country. Many of my colleagues have said that 16 is too young, but what is the difference between a 16 year old and an 18 year old? Just about two years. There will always be people that make uniformed decisions no matter how old they are, 16 is old enough
