Lower the voting age. Many minors are more politcally inclined than many adults who take the right to vote for granted.

Created by C.Z. on January 19, 2013

Don't get me wrong, in that there are many hooligans who don't know the first thing about voting. However, I feel that in many parts of the continental United States; it's territories; Alaska; and Hawaii exist an exceptionable quantity of younger individuals who are competent, perhaps even more so than those who have been granted such a right, to have a fair say in the election of our nation's leaders.

I am proposoing (petitioning) that somthing be enacted where perhaps the voting age be lowered to 16 by age, and perhaps 14 for anyone who can pass a literacy test and/or perhaps a civics test similar to those tests that immigrants must pass to be granted U.S. citizenship, or perhaps even do something as simple as citing the pledge of allegiance in the presence of a designated official.
