The politicians that represent the people seem to prosper while us middle class and lower class see no improvement in the economic state. If the wages of politicians were lowered to a reasonable amount of less than $100,000, I believe that the politicians will actually make policies that favor the majority of the country. We the people elect the representatives to better our life -not to mention the fact that our tax dollars go to their salary. It will also promote individuals who actually care about this country to take these roles at a lower wage and deter the money hungry to take these positions.
