Cannabis is currently listed as a Schedule 1 drug on the FDA's Drug Schedule for dangerous drugs. This is considered the category for the most dangerous drugs. We the people are asking that it be lowered to a category 5 on the drug schedule.
We need to allow our farmer to produce this environmentally friendly crop so it can be exploited to its fullest potential. Currently, it is illegal to produce any type of products with cannabis within our boarders. Lowering the drug's schedule would allow for product production of non-drug related commerce such as, paper, textiles, and commercial grade oils.
Lowering the schedule would also aid in crime prevention and detainment. It would also aid in the control of the Mexican Crime Cartels. Their primary import is Cannabis.
