Lowering the Legal Drinking Age for Military Personnel

Created by R.G. on December 17, 2012

The current legal drinking age for our military service members is unjust. We should lower the age at least for the consumption of beer. Here’s why! We ask them to:
1. Be responsible enough to maintain & often operate, multimillion dollar pieces of equipment.
2. Put the lives of others, in their hands.
3. Keep our military ready & operational (24/7).
4. Lead others in battle It is not uncommon for a young service member (under 21) to be assigned leadership responsibilities (and held accountable).
5. Fight & die for our great country.
We ask them of all these things but we don’t believe they are mature enough and responsible enough to legally consume alcohol. It is time to change the law. Have a Military I.D Card-Have a Beer (Legally)! Minimum Age 18.
