FDA Regulation #884.5435 states that a reusable menstrual pad maker must be FDA compliant, meaning they must pay a registration fee. This fee is nearly $4,000.
Most reusable menstrual pad makers are small businesses that cannot feasibly pay such a steep registration fee on a yearly basis AND continue to stay in business.
Please help support our American small business owners by either completely getting rid of the registration fee for reusable menstrual pads, or lowering it to a far more reasonable price. These businesses are the backbone to local economies, and to the United States.
