Currently only a select group of products require a label showing the country of origin. In addition, there is no requirement to show this label in advertising or on internet sales.
This act would require that the country of origin be prominently displayed on all products and services, including supporting functions like customer service, engineering and data processing. As an example,
Manufactured in China
Assembled in USA
Designed in USA
Customer Service in India
Consumers deserve to know where their money is going so that they can support American Jobs. Businesses should be allowed to show percentages of work performed when multiple countries supply the labor. These percentages should be based on hours of labor, not cost.
