This is a petition to the federal government to maintain and support the federally mandated programs, the special education program under the Individuals with Disability Act and the vocational rehabilitation program under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, to lead our nation on a path of prosperity by investing in our citizens’ successes. Also, these programs follow the ideas of our founding fathers by granting “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” to the special needs population by giving resources for our citizens to be employable and to chase the American dream. These rights are shared equally among the nation since any citizen at need can access the rights at any time. Without a doubt, these programs are a path to prosperity, and we, as citizens, would like to support them.
