We're asking president Barack Obama to disregard a petition to remove the american embassador in the Dominican Republic, due to the homophobic reasons argued by the petitioners. Instead we asked the president of the United States to maintain Mr. James Walter Brewster in post in Santo Domingo.
Mr. Brewster have done nothing to offend the dominican people. There are certain number of bigots that condemn the american diplomat for being openly gay and married to another man.
But we're living in the XXI Century, and people all over the world have to learn to respect other people without prejudice for race, beliefs or sexual orientation.
It´s high time for the dominicans also to do so.
