Maintain the Border Search Exemption to the borders of the United States, and not further inland.

Created by R.B. on March 07, 2013

We petition the Obama Administration to call upon Congress to create a law that disallows the searching and questioning of US citizens without reason as far as 100 miles from any US border. By using such a wide range, the entire states of Florida, Michigan, Hawaii, Maine, New York, Massachusetts, Delaware, Rhode Island, as well as approximately 2/3 of the US population, can be completely violated of their Fourth Amendment rights. We, the Citizens of the United States, call for this unreasonable searching to be pushed back to only the borders of the United States, without extending farther inward.
