Maintain Control of the Internet Corporation for the Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) in perpetuity.

Created by J.B. on March 25, 2014

Whereas the United States funded the initial development of the Internet; American Academics created the structure; and American Internet Companies fostered the idea of the world wide web.

Whereas the ICANN has done its job admirably during the past twenty years;

Whereas the Freedom of Speech afforded by the Internet can only be protected by a country, or the countries, that affords full Freedom of Speech;

Whereas certain countries within the United Nation still restrict the Freedom of Speech and the Freedom of Religion;

Whereas some countries restrict the Freedom of the Press, the Right to Assemble, and the Right to PETITION THEIR GOVERNMENT;

We petition the President and Commerce Department to extend the contract for the ICANN in perpetuity, or at least another 20 years.
