maintain Daylight Saving Time year-round

Created by A.D. on November 19, 2014

The process of changing clocks back and forth twice a year has been attributed to losing the American economy over $430 million every year, an increase in vehicular accidents due to sleep deprivation, an increase in suicide when the time switches back to standard time in the winter, and a reduction in the option for outdoor physical activity in the winter months in warmer climates since most Americans will get home from their work after the sun has already gone down.

As time is a completely human construct, we propose having what is now daylight saving time as the standard time for the United States, and eliminating completely the change back and forth twice a year.
