As a federal institution most workers at Veterans Affairs Hospitals are given the day off as a federal holiday. This means minimal support staff, clinics and imaging for Veterans. Does it make sense to honor Veterans by providing minimal services on Veterans Day? Every other hospital in this country runs like a normal hospital with full services on Veterans Day.
