The United States Government frequently funds scientific research that later becomes owned by, trademarked by and commercialized by the scientists themselves or by private enterprise. Our government should maintain a majority ownership stake in all Research & Development projects that it funds and benefit as such research discoveries / advancements are monetized so that tax payers see a return on their investment via govt funding of such projects.
