Maintaining the Purchasing Power of Minimum Wage Earners in the State of Washington

Created by J.G. on November 05, 2016

The State of Washington Department of Labor and Industries has established a Six Cent per hour state-wide minimum wage increase for 2017. Pursuant to RCW 49.46.020(4)(b) the Director is required to make an annual adjustment to the state-wide minimum wage which will "maintain employee purchasing power." We the People of the State of Washington do not find that the Director has complied with our minimum wage law and We demand a full review of all action taken under RCW 49.46.020(4)(b).
