At the moment 501 (c)(4)s can accept money from people without disclosing who the donor is and then turn around and donate that money to a super Pac and all the super pac has to do is just say that it came from the 501 (c)(4). I'm not saying this happens , but let's say for argument sake that Mitt Romney is hiding money in foreign banks to avoid being taxed. Now he can donate money to his campaign through a 501 (c)(4) such as crossroads GPS which then can donate that money to his super Pac. Without saying where it came from. As far as many of us should be concerned, That's money laundering. Not to mention candidates are not allowed to have money donated to their campaign from foreign persons. And with a 501 (c)(4) we could never know.
