Imagine making $8,000,000,000 a month and stabilizing the stock market at the same time!!
While illegal, Failures to Deliver on 'shorted' stocks averages about $80 billion dollars every month!
Fledgling publicly traded companies are susceptible to short interest, many time > 30% of the 'float'. Large percentage of short-interest, coupled with high-frequency trading algorithms allows the stock price to be manipulated.
The results are large, unsubstantiated fluctuations in the stock price: destabilizing the company, scaring investors, and ultimately harming the economy.
We propose imposing a modest 10% fine on these failures to deliver..
This would help our country's debt while protecting our industry.
