I believe that we should recognize this tragic event in American history as a national holiday. We solute those that serve in our military on a regular basis but especially on those holidays dedicated to their service but we lack a holiday to recognize the loss of civilian life and all those families effected. We lost nearly 3,000 people on that tragic day, and we should honor those that innocently lost their lives.
Also, as we know, there is always a heightened terrorist threat on the anniversary and by creating this national holiday on 9/11 it will protect those that could be exposed to another inhuman display of violence by those who wish this great country harm.
