The people of this petition believe the United States of America should declare 9/11 as a National day off in honor and remembrance of those who lost their lives on that infamous day in 2001. The entire country should acknowledge the sacrifices of the many innocent and brave citizens who perished, the others who survived and the heroes who risked their lives to save others. If the country still honors and celebrates Columbus Day, we believe there is room for a 9/11 Day.
