The Post 9-11 GI Bill allows veterans who served honorably 4 years after August 2012. Why did the administration and Congress leave out thousands of veterans with this restriction. I served 4 different conflicts subsequent to my retirement in 2005 but can't transfer my benefits to my daughters. It seems unfair to those veterans who can't qualify but yet served and enrolled for the same benefits. Additionally, I recommend authorizing the housing stipend allowance (equivalent of E-5 with dependents) for individuals who qualify via on-line programs. With today's cost of fuel and push to limit exposing our environment to more Greenhouse effects. Many veterans also prefer minimizing their exposure to classroom settings especially those who suffer from PTSD.
