Make airlines have more flights and more seats!

Created by L.H. on May 18, 2015

Airlines are making money hand over fist and the consumer is forced to go along with the flow. The recent American / US Air merger is not helping things. When I fly, every flight is overbooked. I am having to pay for "premium" seats (at a cost of $30 or more each time) because there are not "regular" seats available. This is happening on a regular basis with multiple airlines flying out of multiple airports with all of my colleagues. We simply can't get flights when we need them to travel for business. Why are airlines allowed to "overbook" flights? This should not even a term. They are earning money by charging consumers for "premium" seats when there is nothing else available, and then asking people to get off the plane for vouchers. Flights need to be regulated in some fashion.
