make Alcoholism and Addiction Disabilities that qualify for SSI and Social Security disability income

Created by E.W. on June 06, 2012

People with a history of alcoholism and addiction have a medically and psychologically recognized disease and this handicaps their ability to get and keep jobs. People in the field of treatment know they need to focus and concentrate on recoveery from these deadly diseases and not on putting jobs first. It is a temporary illness that can be overcome but providing financial assistance while new and learning recovery are indispensible to the process. Those new in recovery are often unable to land or hold down a full time job to support themselves, and the AMA recognizes both as actual medical illnesses that by nature cause a person problems in finding and holding onto jobs. I feel providing money for survival to people seeking would prove conducive to recovery
