While some records are available for public view for free not all counties and states make criminal and arrest records as such. To obtain this type of information many resort to paying for a background check online or through court systems. I believe this should be free to all. Too many people out there put themselves and their children in positions to be victimized by persons with a criminal history. By making this information free to all hopefully it would assist in protecting people. Parents could check out potential childcare givers, single parents would be able to check on the person the are considering dating and having around their children, and many more would benefit from having access to this information.
