Make all future patents granted nontransferrable

Created by E.K. on October 23, 2012

Current patent law allows for patents to be sold. This allows inventors to be exploited by patent trolls or by companies promising quick cash (but often a pittance compared to the patent's actual value) in return for rights to their patents. Thus, I want to propose that all future patents granted be nontransferrable, belonging solely to the inventor, or to his employer if he has signed an agreement granting patent rights to his inventions to his employer. This will ensure that inventors are no longer exploited, and will also prevent future patents from becoming burdened by patent trolls.
