The reasoning behind this petition is to make it more profitable for those individuals who are either forced by their work or volunteer to work to not be liable for taxes on their income earned during those days. It is never fun to be away from your family on a holiday and to ease that burden of working make it tax free to those individuals who continue to work and keep our economy moving along.
