Interstate freeways need to be expanded to 80,000 miles, nearly double to handle increased population growth, while also being a mechanism for disaster and military mobility. Environmentalism is not as important as mobility in terms of a San Francisco earthquake, as one example. Additionally, the Interstate brand is a federal easement in terms of real estate and all crimes committed on an interstate freeway should correspond to federal jurisdiction.
