Make all IRS service centers stock over 100,000 copies of each form, and teach their employees to be courteous.

I needed a simple 1099 form and I went to my local, San Antonio IRS office. They did not have the form.

?????

How is it that the OFFICIAL IRS office that covers a radius of over 45 miles does not have one of the most basic tax forms?

Then, when I asked the person handling the front desk about the form, he had ZERO customer service skills and was not polite or even offer a smile. Customer service is MORE than just answering questions. Any monkey can answer a question. A customer service rep is supposed to be HELPFUL, which means that even if they cannot meet the requirements of your visit, you at least have a pleasant interpersonal experience. Here's an example: "Sir, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but we're out of that form." Pretty easy, right?
