Make all medical expenses a direct write-off on tax returns instead of the current rule regarding write-offs

Created by C.G. on March 19, 2013

Change the current income tax rule to one that allows taxpayers to write off all medical expenses instead of the current rule that only allows deductions in excess of 5% of taxable income. This would help offset the increasing costs of healthcare and insurance expenses, particularly for those taxpayers who have heavy medical expenses due to chronic conditions such as diabetes, cancer, heart problems, etc.
