There was a story recently of children's lunches being thrown in the trash for having a negative balance on their lunch account.
We shouldn't allow any child to go hungry because they lack the money to pay for lunch. As a society, we should feed our children while they are at school. It can improve academic achievement and test scores.
With hunger such a big problem in our country; with the very real situation of kids' only meals coming from school (even those who pay for lunch), why can't we do this?
I'm willing to pay taxes for this! Aren't you?
