Make all public schools a "safe place" by adding security features and tax guns and ammunition to help pay for it.

Install an alarm system to notify school faculty and students when the schools security entry doors have been breached. Train the students and faculty to retreat to classrooms if they are not already in them. And fortify all classrooms by adding UN-penetrable entry doors to each classroom. And LOCK DOWN the school! This will save more lives than any gun law that you will ever be able to pass. Most classrooms are built using brick and or block. If you have a classroom with a lot of ground level windows or glass then use bullet proof glass or do away with ground level window. Maybe start to design safer schools in the future.
