As it has been shown time and time again, abstinence is unsuccessful, so it is time to stop letting public schools teach that abstinence is the only form of birth control. Areas in the country that do not require non-abstinence only sex ed have higher STD and STI rates, along with increased teenage pregnancy rates. In order to combat the problems of teen pregnancies and STDs, we the people of the United States of America implore the US government to act on this issue and fix the sexual education system.
