Make all Student Loan interest tax deductible

Created by T.J. on January 21, 2015

Currently, there's a maximum tax deduction of $2500 on student loan interest paid while the mortgage interest is effectively unlimited. Expanding the student loan interest deduction to cover all (or even just up to $10,000) in interest paid would be a boon to the economy and provide some much-needed relief for the millions of Americans burdened with this unforgivable debt.

The money saved would instantly be returned to the economy as many people struggling with student debt are often living paycheck to paycheck.
