When I was in middle school and in the first half of my first year of high school, I was a victim of bullying. My public school system did very little about it. Bullying happens everywhere; in the workplace, in the military, and on the internet (especially social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
A year ago on July 10th, I created my own organization called The Buddy System: Buddies For Bully Victims to remind school-aged kids that they are not alone and that there is hope at the end of the tunnel.
14% of high school students have considered suicide due to bullying, and almost 7% have attempted it.
