Many people already consider "America the Beautiful" to be our nation's unofficial anthem. Some don't even realize it isn't the official one! And since there are no fewer than eight different languages that are spoken by at least one million Americans each, we know that "America the Beautiful" is sung in many different tongues.
We are petitioning the United States government to make official what has long been an American custom: Singing America the Beautiful as our national anthem, and singing it in many different languages.
The specific languages used in singing our new anthem, and the order they are used in, will be free to vary with each performance so long as each verse is rendered in a unique language.
