In most every nation outside of the US, English is taught as a second language, many of them REQUIRING it. Due to our high status and attention it is necessary for people of these nations to be able to communicate with us fully. However, for some reason, we don't apply this standard to ourselves.
We are wasting tons resources, especially peoples time, by allowing any responsible citizen to not know a common language so that it has to be printed and have translators for their convenience.
This is a simple way to cut a bunch of waste and create less confusion in communication of our ideas. This will also help regulate immigration to those that actually want to be here and aren't looking for a free ride by forcing them to learn it.
I'm liberal and this is just a logical standard.
