Being a follower of American Football is a lifestyle which encompasses as much time and passion as any other religion in the United States. The love and energy that is given and received by all parties are beyond spiritual. We believe that American Football should be nationally recognized as a religion because of this.
There may be a question as to whether it should be disqualified as a religion because of the profit some organizations turn out. I would respond by saying we spend over $71 billion in funds to religion every year (http://www.secularhumanism.org/index.php?section=fi&page=cragun_32_4)
This official proclamation will allow us to embrace our unity as Football followers and as a country. We are proud to be American, and we are proud to be American Football Supporters.
