The ATA receives a substantial amount of financial support from three drug companies – Pfizer, AbbVie, and Akrimax – that make levothyroxine, the drug that the ATA guidelines claim are the “standard of care.”
Now, the ATA is threatening doctors who prescribe T3 and Natural Desiccated Thyroid drugs, that they could face legal consequences or revocation of their medical licenses.
