I believe that convicted animal abusers should have to go through the same procedures as convicted sexual predators. They should be registered in a database that will allow others to view their location and what they did to the animals they abused. Furthermore, they should have to go around each neighborhood they move to and introduce themselves as a convicted animal abuser. I know that this is a little extreme, but I am a firm believer that a pet is a member of the family, and animals deserve the same safety as humans, and I wouldn't want someone who has a history of animal abuse coming anywhere near my pets. I hope enough people share this point of view with me.
