Animal rape/bestiality/zoophilia is still legal in the United States in 17 states including Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, D.C., Hawaii, Kentucky, Louisiana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming. Because there are so many states lacking legal protection for animals the federal government needs to step in. Not only should it be illegal in all states, but it needs to be a felony.
