Make any federal hate crimes' sentences double normal sentences.

Created by J.G. on March 19, 2014

If a crime is found to be a hate crime, the person who committed the crime will have his/her sentence double the normal sentence for that crime. So if someone gets 2 years in prison for assault, and the assault is found to be a hate crime, the attacker will get 4 years.
