Make April 9th a National Holiday. On April 9th, 1865, The Confederacy surrendered to Union Forces.

Created by E.H. on April 09, 2015

April 9th is the day the Civil War ended. It was the bloodiest war in US History. The end of the war paved the way for the Emancipation Proclamation. It was also the end of the traitorous Confederate States of America. Not acknowledging this day publically allows for revisionist history and unwarranted sympathy for traitors. Please sign if you feel that we need to offically acknowledge this day as an incredibly important date in the history of The United States of America.
