Make August 25th a federal holiday to celebrate the day in 2012 that mankind first entered interstellar space. NASA's Voyager I is over 36 years old and 12 billion miles away on a mission that was only supposed to last four years. This monumental achievement exemplifies our innate human curiosity to go further into the abyss than we ever have before. Such a definitive staple of our reverence to continue this journey should not go without yearly recognition. Please support this petition to celebrate the human spirit and it's drive to discover the unknown.
