Make August 25th a federal holiday to celebrate the day in 2012 that mankind first entered interstellar space. NASA's Voyager I is over 36 years old and 12 billion miles away on a mission that was only supposed to last four years. This monumental achievement exemplifies our innate human curiosity to go further into the abyss than we ever have before. Such a definitive staple of our reverence to continue this journey should not go without yearly recognition.
