President Obama, on behalf of my fellow LGBT peers here in Arkansas and states abroad, I am petitioning you to make aware the issue of anti-gay discriminatory laws that are being passed throughout the United States. Here is Arkansas, the local legislations passed S.B. 202, which uniformly denies all 500 counties and cities in the state from enacting anti-discrimination ordinances. The legislator will soon hear another bill that will allow businesses and housing providers to deny someone service based on their (the provider's) religious beliefs. Laws like this has been copied in states all across the country and it is time to take a stand. Members of the LGBT community are Americans who do not deserve to be treated like second class citizens. On behalf of all of us, we need your help.
